Toshiba Touch Virtual Reality

It may sound like science fiction but a reality newborn is still in the early stages of experimentation ... but ... imagine for a moment that we could do that actually adapts to the manipulative possibilities of our students with limited mobility.
Well, a team of European researchers has achieved a virtual reality system in which the sense of touch seems real. Your users can not only see and hear in their environment virtual, but can also play. The system opens new possibilities for applications in telepresence, telemedicine, industrial design, or games.
Those responsible for this system, belonging to nine research centers, including the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), using a 3D scanner and an advanced modeling system to create a virtual representation of a real object, like a cup or a box.
3D digital representation of the object can be transmitted to another at a remote location. By using virtual reality goggles and a special interface, haptic technology based on the object you can touch and move. The UPM team is responsible for developing haptic device with two contact points for capturing an object with a virtual hand.
